Are Croc Shoes Dangerous?
The answer is no. If you don’t buy yourself or your kids a pair of Croc shoes because ABC news told you that they were dangerous then you need to seriously look at never watching tv again. You have been punk’d.
One so one story in a foreign country emerges that a kid gets his foot stuck in a escalator due to wearing croc shoes and now you want to never wear croc shoes again. What if you were wearing jeans and they got caught, would you never wear jeans again, or always wear shorts. If so then you are an idiot.
It’s programs like 20/20 and more that practically scare people into doing the dumbest things I have ever heard of. Be afraid of hotel rooms, be afraid of water parks, be afraid of Applebees. The list goes on and on. And if you watched and believed everything you’ve seen on tv then you would live a very sheltered life. There are far more dangerous things then wearing croc shoes. Perhaps driving to the mall. Driving to the mall is far more dangerous then taking the escalator. And if you are so afraid of your croc shoes getting stuck in a escalator then take the stairs.
Sorry to have to do this but I needed to debunk that ridiculous story I’ve read. Stop being afraid and go buy a pair of Croc Shoes, you’ll thank me.

I agree that the ridiculous hype against products for one, or even a few, freak incidents is just bordering on stupidity. However, this news article doesn’t at all give sypathy to the victim, and is really insulting. (not to me) I would be more willing to digg it if it were more kindly or objectively written.
